Calculate your likely consumption on your next Celebrity Cruise and see if one of their drink packages are worth it!
We’ve created this handy drink package calculator to help you decide whether or not purchasing a drink package on your next Celebrity Cruise is right for you.
How to calculate your beverage costs on Celebrity Cruise Line
- Choose your package. The daily charge will appear in the daily charge space, but you can change that if you are getting a discount.
- Select your length of cruise. You’ll notice how the cost increases according to the cruise length. If you’ve selected the All Included promotion, you’ll see the price is just the difference you will pay to upgrade.
- Choose the number of drinks you consume, or expect to consume each day. We’ve put the average drink price in the cost fields, but you can modify those if you like more expensive drinks (it’s worth looking at the drink menus)
- The calculator will do the math and tell you if it is worth purchasing a package (or upgrading) based on your consumption!

I don’t know if it is worth me getting a drink package I’ll have 3 other people in our room. 1 don’t drink and the other barely. should I get one.
They’ll make everyone get the same package unfortunately 🙁 – Unless you have a medical reason.
So Im not a huge drinker but in given day sitting by pool and at night I would think I would drink 10 a day and 1 coffee a day and 2 diet drinks and alot of water. Is it worth for me to pay for package?
You’re definitely at the edge of break even. The Celebrity packages are quite expensive and if you aren’t going to do that every day, It may be a waste. I found myself struggling after a few days of “breaking even” to get a value in the last few days of the cruise.
does the classic drink pkg include gratuities or is the drink included but then they add on the 20% gratuity to our room key?
Hi Pam – When you get a drink covered by the package, it will include gratuities. However if you purchase a drink outside of the limit, you’ll pay the difference of the drink price PLUS the gratuity on the difference.
Is it possible to see a list of what drinks are included with the classic and the premium pacages?
Hi David – you can see the menus here (link to celebrity drink menus) – keep in mind they change regularly but this should give you a good idea!
Hi My husband and I are planning a cruise with Celebrity Solstice to Alaska in August and We’re confused on what a beverage package would cost for 7 days. We only drink soda and water, no alcohol at all. We’re both seniors. Can you help?
Georgina, if you book the non-alcoholic package, do the math to make sure you drink enough soda to make it worth it! It’ll be about $30 per day per person (depending on current promotions, etc). A soda costs about $3.50 give or take. So you’re going to have to drink a LOT of soda to make it worth it. If you just have the occasional soda and are ok with Tap water (which is actually really good) — then I’d probably pass on any package!.
When you upgrade to a premium pkg from classic and pay the diff, are gratuities separate now per drink and you pay that at the end of the cruise? Or is it included and you just don’t see it? Not quite understanding.
Hi Bobbie – It depends on where you’re located. If you’re in America, you’ll see the price to upgrade, then at checkout, there will be the gratuities added at checkout. There will be no additional gratuities unless you go over the drink price ($17USD for Premium) – So you’ll never see a bill or any additional costs unless you go over the per drink price, in which you will see the difference + 20% of that difference as a gratuity. So if your drink is $18, you’ll get a bill for $1.20 ($1.00 + .20 in gratuity for the overage amount only). The overages are settled nightly against your shipboard account. I hope this makes sense! If not, let me know.
